At the Ocasio Feliciano Foundation for Safer Futures, we believe protecting young lives requires more than reacting after tragedy—it requires prevention, accountability, and collaboration.
Our Core Issue Areas
The foundation’s work is rooted in three interconnected areas where meaningful change can protect young lives and build safer communities.

Common-Sense Gun Safety
We support practical, common-sense policies that help keep firearms out of the hands of those who should not have them while respecting the rights of responsible gun owners. We believe our laws should do more to protect children and reduce preventable acts of violence that continue to rob families and communities of their futures.

Stronger School & Family Partnerships
Parents are a child’s first teachers, but schools are an extension of the village that helps shape their future. We believe schools, families, mentors, faith leaders, and community organizations must work together to identify concerns early, strengthen communication, and create support systems before conflict turns into crisis.
When warning signs appear, meaningful conversations with parents and caregivers should be part of the solution. Every child deserves adults who communicate, collaborate, and intervene with compassion, consistency, and care.

Investing in Prevention
Violence prevention begins long before violence occurs. Young people need access to trusted mentors, social-emotional learning, conflict resolution, financial literacy, arts and music, mental wellness resources, and opportunities that help them discover purpose and hope.
